On Wednesday, May 15, Commissioner Lewis and I attended a celebration of Delaware County Foster Families who work every day to make a difference with children in our county. It was certainly uplifting to meet and speak with these families.
You may not be aware of this, but May is “National Foster Care Appreciation” month. It is an opportunity to encourage families to become foster parents themselves. If you are interested you can give me a call at the commissioner’s office and I will put you in touch with someone who can answer your questions.
